Africa - Where the Losers are Winners

Here's a great article from the New York Times about a puzzling overseas phenomenon - why Africans (and Indians, and Romanians) wear t-shirts proclaiming last year's Super Bowl losers the winners.

Seriously, you see it all the time overseas, right alongside the Sadaam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden shirts, and the umpteen million 50 Cent shirts that Africans seem to absolutely love, regardless of whether or not they've ever heard the guy's music.

It's really quite interesting how our culture gets exported overseas; just a little more friendly imperialism from your friends in the U.S. of A.
